Over the last month there are a few items I have been absolutely loving! They are everyday items that might not normally get shared on the blog or Instagram so today I'm sharing current winter favorites and why I love them :)
Darin picked out these Sorel Boots for me a couple weeks ago and I instantly loved them! They are by far the most comfortable winter boots I own. The traction on the bottom is great for this time of year when there is always ice, snow or slush...makes walking the dog a whole lot easier. Fur on the inside gives that cozy feel and they keep your feet warm as well as dry (they are waterproof but I added extra water protectant spray). Worth every penny!!
Winter gives me insanely dry skin! Finding a lotion that keeps my skin moisturized for hours and doesn't cause a rash is a challenge. Philosophy fresh cream lotion is thicker than a typical lotion and feels incredible on the skin. Plus, it smells like frosting! I lather it on at night after the shower and my skin still feels moisturized in the morning.
Recently discovered RXBAR (thanks to Lauren Kay Sims) and they are soooo good! Every bar is made from natural ingredients that give you protein packed nutrition. They make great pre or post workout snacks. You can even use them as a meal replacement if you are on the go. RXBAR comes in a ton of flavors and so far I love them all :)
I don't care much for perfumes (they always loose their scent after 5 minutes) but I do love this face & body refresher from Bath & Body Works! It's hypoallergenic, which is a huge deciding factor when I buy any type of skin care. The light rose water scent is fresh and feminine. It's great to spritz on during the day when I need a little extra hydration. The refresher sprays come in 4 scent options.
Another skin care product from Bath & Body Works that I have been loving is this hypoallergenic fragrance free body oil. Using an oil on your face/body really locks in moisture and deeply hydrates your skin. The fragrance free option is great for sensitive skin (there are also other scent options). I use this oil for face, body, hair, and mix in a drop with my foundation as part of my makeup routine. This is truly a versatile product!
There is always a candle burning when I'm home, it really enhances the atmosphere and makes the place feel homey. Lately, the salted caramel scent has been my go-to...it makes my apartment smell like a coffee shop! The warm scent gives a cozy vibe which I love this time of year.
After 8 years of owning a cheap drugstore curling iron with a clamp, I recently upgraded to a wand curling iron. I choose the Bed Head by TIGI in the 1.25" barrel. It heats up very quickly to 400 degrees and the Tourmaline Ceramic barrel locks in shine while reducing frizz. I only curl my hair once a week and the curls last about 6 days. Highly recommend this brand! You can choose from several barrel sizes and they are sold right at Target for under $30 :)
